A place of opportunities and possibilities

The St. Laurentius workshop in Hagen, a facility run by Caritas-Verband Hagen e.V., is a recognised workshop for people with disabilities. It offers people with mental and physical disabilities the chance to receive care, support and vocational training, making it easier for them to integrate into working and social life. To fulfil this important task, optimal working conditions are essential. The renovation of the roof in spring 2017 was a significant step towards improving these conditions.

Daylight as a decisive factor for quality of life

Natural daylight has a demonstrably positive effect on people's psyche and well-being. For people with disabilities in particular, daylight can be an important factor in their support and development. Skylights provide better orientation in the room, which is extremely important for people with impaired vision. A bright and friendly working environment with natural light from outside not only increases concentration and motivation, but also creates a pleasant atmosphere that contributes to integration.

Efficient solutions for more light

Around 70 LAMILUX Glass Skylights F100 and Glass Skylights FE were installed as part of the roof renovation of the St Laurentius workshop. These products are characterised by their outstanding light transmission, energy efficiency and durability. The flush-fitting glazing in the surround frame ensures that water runs off evenly, preventing dirt deposits. The combination of modern design and functional technology makes the Glass Skylights the ideal choice for projects that emphasise natural light, sustainable construction and attractive design.
