LAMILUX Continuous Rooflight B: Meeting Customer Expectations

At the heart of the building, two LAMILUX Continuous Rooflights B with dual flaps ensure a pleasant and healthy indoor atmosphere. Their strategic placement gives climbers the feeling of literally ascending towards the sky, perfectly fulfilling the vision of the project developers.
But these continuous rooflights are more than just an aesthetic feature—they are key elements in the daily ventilation system, contributing significantly to air quality and ensuring a comfortable indoor climate.

A New Perspective: The Role of Daylight and Fresh Air in Sports

The importance of daylight and fresh air in athletic environments cannot be overstated. Natural lighting improves concentration, enhances well-being, and creates an inspiring environment for climbers.
With two LAMILUX Continuous Rooflights B, the Brakel Climbing Centre benefits from optimal daylight penetration, reducing the need for artificial lighting and creating a welcoming, open atmosphere.

Enhanced Safety Through Integrated Fire Protection

Beyond the sports and architectural highlights, safety was a top priority in this project.
The dual flaps of the LAMILUX Continuous Rooflights B serve as an effective smoke and heat exhaust system (SHEV) in the event of a fire. They provide a 6.4m² aerodynamic smoke extraction area, ensuring the rapid removal of smoke and heat—a critical safety measure that can save lives in an emergency.

We explain more about fire protection and SHEVS in our blog article.
