The Weiden district court has its origins in the 19th century and has developed over time into a central location for the administration of justice. District court, local court and regional labour court - all legal matters have landed in Weiden over the decades. To this day, it is therefore an important symbol of legal history in the Upper Palatinate. But even the House of Laws catches up with time and so it needed a comprehensive modernisation. LAMILUX was involved as an expert in daylight and provided more daylight, security and energy efficiency.

More light in all areas of the court building

The remodeling work was carried out throughout the entire district court. The focus for optimised room lighting was primarily on the jury courtroom, the presiding judge's office and the adjacent corridors. A total of 18 Glass Skylights were renewed and replaced with elegant Glass Skylights FE 3° from LAMILUX. These measures improve light transmission and create a pleasant environment for employees and visitors alike.

Technology and design for comfort and efficiency

In addition to an aesthetic upgrade, the new Glass Skylights also offer numerous technical advantages. The optimised sound insulation ensures a quiet environment, while the increased energy efficiency of the building reduces energy consumption in the long term. The modernised aluminium frames also guarantee long-term weather resistance, ensuring aesthetics and safety for decades to come.
