Townhouses as an urban living trend

Townhouses are becoming increasingly popular, particularly in large cities and their surrounding areas. Due to their narrow floor plan, they require little space so that several can be built next to each other, thus making optimum use of the existing living space. These buildings are ideal for families who want to enjoy urban living and their own garden or terrace - the best of both worlds.

New townhouse development in Hohen Neuendorf

One example is the new housing estate in Bergfelde, Hohen Neuendorf, Brandenburg. The location in the centre of the Barnim Nature Park is particularly attractive as it is surrounded by forests and lakes and is well connected to the Berlin S-Bahn network. Hohen Neuendorf is growing rapidly, so the demand for living space is high. The development offers 21 townhouses and 60 flats and makes optimum use of the available space.

Versatile solutions for modern living concepts

Flat Roofs, which are becoming increasingly popular for new builds, offer particular added value. They enable more efficient planning without losing space due to sloping roofs and can be used as terraces or green areas. The prerequisite is a roof pitch of between 2 and 10 per cent for good drainage. However, this potential is often underutilised, even though a roof terrace can increase the value of a property by up to 20 percent. The solution for utilising this space simply and effectively is Flat Roof Access Hatches such as those from LAMILUX. They create exclusive access to the roof terrace. Find out more here!

Townhouse with roof terrace: privacy and views in a green setting

The Ziemann family of three and two dogs have been living in one of the townhouses since February 2022. Katrin Ziemann appreciates the space, the village atmosphere and the proximity to Berlin. She particularly likes the privacy with no neighbours above or below them and the roof terrace. ‘Our roof terrace is our absolute highlight. On nice days, especially in summer, we have sun around the clock and don't have to go to the neighbouring parks to sunbathe. You also have a wonderful view from the roof. I often use our roof terrace as my personal retreat to enjoy nature,’ enthuses Ziemann.

With its central location, the townhouse offers access to everything that makes Berlin special - cultural diversity, culinary highlights and first-class infrastructure. At the same time, the private living concept allows you to retreat into your own four walls, far away from the hustle and bustle of the big city. Here, life in the heart of Berlin becomes a unique experience.
