Daylight for the new climbing hall
The remodeling of the Wartburg Brewery in Eisenach marks the beginning of a new chapter for the historic building: the traditional brewery has been transformed into a multifunctional climbing hall for children and adults. The Alte Brauerei now offers a 347 m² climbing hall with modern equipment that impresses with its unrivalled flair and can be used in any weather. After a professional introduction to safety techniques, climbing enthusiasts can venture onto a variety of routes that offer challenges for beginners and advanced climbers alike.

Continuous Rooflights for perfect ventilation and daylight
The roof was also considered during the renovation, which now brings new glory to the building thanks to new LAMILUX Continuous Rooflights. The specially shaped barrel roofs of the climbing hall placed high demands on the installation of the Continuous Rooflights B. Thanks to intensive planning and close coordination, four Continuous Rooflights were successfully integrated. These not only provide the hall with natural light, but are also equipped with fan blades that enable natural ventilation.

SHEV systems for maximum safety and rapid smoke extraction
The integrated smoke and heat extraction systems (SHEVS) make an important contribution to safety in the climbing hall. In the event of a fire, the SHEV systems ensure fast and efficient smoke extraction by removing toxic smoke gases in a targeted manner and improving visibility. This keeps the escape route clear for visitors and reduces the risk of smoke poisoning. This safety measure makes a decisive contribution to protecting the people in the hall and fulfils the highest fire protection requirements.
