Solutions:LAMILUX Continuous Rooflight B with customized SunProtect glazing

During a renovation of a production hall at Heidelberger Druckmaschinen with a total roof surface of 77,000 square meters, 4.2 km of LAMILUX continuous rooflight B were installed. With a length of 620 meters, the hall is a central part of the company complex and a crucial production facility.
In close coordination with the customer, the renovation was adapted to existing specifications and individual circumstances by innovative solutions. In order to comply with the existing fire protection concept, 450 integrated smoke and heat exhaust ventilation systems ensure safety for employee and machine in the event of a fire and at the same time guarantee natural ventilation. The special SunProtect glazing with a U-value of 1.3 W/m²K optimally refracts the light in order to improve the energy efficiency of the production hall and avoid glare to the inside. The entire renovation will be carried out in several steps without affecting ongoing production.
